The course will be an intensive weekend of learning and upskilling.

- How to be a 1st contact private practitioner in Australia
- How to meet a paying patient’s expectations
- Different types of patients
- How to write an X-ray referral
- Things to not miss
- How to hit the ground running
- What things you must know for your first week
- What your first day will be like
- Diary management
- Sounding like it isn’t your first day
Manual Component
- Getting information out of your subjective
- Maximizing Objective examination
- Special tests
- Expanding your toolbox for treatment
- Getting through all this in the time allocated
- Advanced Clinical reasoning
Sean’s Teaching style is unique, It is free flowing and organic. Therefore an open mind is a must and a willingness to learn, be questioned and debate.
As every new graduate needs upskilling in different areas and most have different interests the structure is very fluid.
Training material will be provided but please bring a pen and notebook to write some things down.

A little about your presenter
Sean Entered Private practice in 2011 and had a rough time, with very little support and guidance. He promised himself that he would change the way new grads were treated.
He created this course as he felt that the private practice environment could be better for new grads. Sean’s passion is helping prevent injuries and helping others achieve their goals.
He is also passionate about raising the standards of Physiotherapy in Australia as a whole, so that no single practitioner can give us all a bad name! He doesn’t want us all to be tarnished by the lowest common denominator!
On entering the workforce, each person’s individual professionalism and competence impacts the public’s perception of Physiotherapy as a worthwhile allied health service.
In the last 2 years Sean has:
