For all of our clients that have been asking about group exercise and rehabilitation classes they are back - And yes they are health fund rebateable.
For those of you who have been enquiring and want to start supervised exercise or rehabilitation with a physiotherapist our classes will be starting again next week.
The federal government announced the staged easing of restrictions last Friday, outlining that each state and territory will adopt these at different rates.
These guidelines relate to physiotherapy classes/group consultations.
When running physiotherapy exercise or rehabilitation classes we will be aligning with government advice and we will be making sure that all relevant infection control principles are applied.
PLUS we will have physical distancing of equipment/mats so patients are kept more than 2 m apart.
- We will be staggering class times.
- This will minimise cross over of patients exiting/entering group exercise spaces and the waiting room.
- We have also set up an undercover outside waiting room where you are able to wait and if you choose you can wait in your car until the class runs.
- We will be allowing adequate time for a class to be conducted safely with respect to cleaning of equipment after every single client use.
This may mean that your classes will be a little longer than usual to accommodate this. - When dealing with vulnerable populations We will also use our professional judgement to make a decision about the appropriateness of offering face-to-face sessions instead of groups/classes and may recommend an online format if it is warranted.
