Casandra Herbert | Physiotherapist
Casandra graduated with a Bachelors of Kinesiology degree, majoring in sports performance in 2020 at the University of Alberta in Canada. She moved to Australia to pursue her studies in physiotherapy, where she graduated with a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree in 2023 from Bond University in the Gold Coast.
Previously, a competitive free style wrestler for 6 years and rugby player, she retired contact sports due to severe injuries and multiple concussions. Prior to that she participated in countless sports growing up from baseball, volleyball, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics to Irish dance and Jazz dance. With her active lifestyle continuing following her injuries, she engaged in hobbies such as cycling, mountain biking, resistance training, hiking, and yoga. Casandra’s own personal experience with rehabilitating injuries fed more into her beliefs that exercise is medicine. Casandra became passionate for the physiotherapy profession growing up watching close family members with chronic disabilities receiving ongoing rehabilitation. She saw the impact physiotherapy made to their quality of life and wanted to make the same impact by helping others overcome their barriers.
