About Simren (Sim)
sim is originally from Vancouver, Canada, where he completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology (Exercise Science) in 2021 at the University of the Fraser Valley. In 2023, Simren moved to Australia to pursue his Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University. From a young age, Simren has always had a strong interest in anatomy and how the human body moves. His pathway into the healthcare and fitness field was shaped through sport, particularly judo and wrestling, where he had early exposure to physiotherapy — not only for injury rehabilitation, but also to enhance performance, resilience, and movement efficiency. These experiences sparked a long-standing interest in combining exercise and rehabilitation to help people move and perform better. Qualifications Sim holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology, with a focus in Exercise Science, from the University of the Fraser Valley, and a Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University. He has also completed additional training in soft tissue cupping and dry needling, which he uses as adjuncts alongside exercise-based rehabilitation where appropriate. Clinical Experience Sim works with a broad caseload ranging from everyday aches and pains to complex and persistent injuries. This includes sporting and gym-based injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, workplace and WorkCover presentations, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). He takes a patient-centred approach, with a strong emphasis on restoring function, confidence, and long-term movement capacity. Special Interests
Sim has a strong interest in progressive, evidence-based rehabilitation to support both recovery and long-term performance. I Could Chat With You All Day About Outside of work, Simren could happily chat all day about travel, food, hiking, hunting, and the UFC and combat sports. He values building strong rapport with patients and believes that understanding the person behind the injury is a key part of successful rehabilitation. |
